On this National Home Caregivers Day, we wish to express our sincere appreciation to our essential workers.
After a year of work in extraordinary conditions, we can say that they really are “guardian angels”. Home caregivers supported their entire community by preserving the health and safety of seniors and people with loss of autonomy or with functional limitations. Their work also helped breaking the isolation that these persons experience every day. The pandemic data demonstrates that home support literally contributed to saving lives during this crisis.
Home care workers demonstrate the relevance and effectiveness of home support on a daily basis. We thank them for their support through these difficult times which will remain engraved in our collective memory and which has, more than ever, underlined the essential nature of their work. The Réseau de coopération des entreprises d’économie sociale en aide à domicile (EÉSAD) invites everyone to acknowledge the contribution of home caregivers and to show them their appreciation. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘇 𝗺𝗼𝗶 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗲 is a collective project that has been made possible by the support of millions of Quebeckers.
